We've gotten another mission now though. A slightly boring one but I'm going to pretend it's a sign things are getting back on track.

So if I'm making it worse, and you were enjoying it -- doesn't that mean I'm helping?

[She's smirking. Okay, yes, she's enjoying this.]

No, but dating wasn't the first activity I thought of when I got here. Or the second, or the third, or even on the list.

[Ollie takes a deep breath.]

I got shot with some arrows, I fell from a rooftop and got beat up.

[Asuka rolls her eyes and settles onto the edge of the wooden sidewalk, peering up at Kanaya, chin in her hands.]

Somehow, I doubt there's ever going to be a 'normal' around here.

[Billy nods and waves, signaling a 'see you soon' as he rides off.]

[A few hours later, the horse is gone. Billy is waiting alone at his little shelter, a small plate of meat and potatoes in front of him---not much, but it's what he could afford. He quickly files it away and waves when he sees Jericho.]

You okay?

Oh, is that all? [What's a few arrows and a long fall and getting beat up? That's like a regular Saturday night, if the arrows are replaced with bullets.] I could sort that out with my eyes closed, come on.

[She starts moving, half keeping an eye on him and half looking around for somewhere suitable for her to patch him up.]

[ He nod at the question. ]

It was a blessing, specifically -- holy magic.

Of course. Even then, I highly doubt many of those garments would match the quality that makes up my own dress. They compensate that fact with more layers than is necessary.

[ Harrumph. Saber crosses her arms and regards Kyouko eating the candy for a moment. ]

Crudely, I would think. And you worried that we would get shot at with my dress.

[...well, he's going to try getting on that horse-

oh good he's sitting on it. but then...]

...what next?

I think it does.

[So, he's going to give it a try.

Well, at least he's on it.

Even though he's facing the wrong way.

Oops.]

I don't this can be called improvising.

[more like killing themselves with this kind of food.

And then he's going to stand up.]

I'm going to talk with the chef.

[welp.]

[She laughs, though she at least tries to hide it behind her hand.]

I think you're a little turned around there.

[ And then Saber steps beside Utena and spreads out her arms while she calls to those around the general area. Her manner of dress is certainly eye-catching (in the way that it is strange) and that's the first hook for Saber to speak to these people about their vote.

As she speaks, there's a quality to her speech that suggests she's very experienced addressing these commoners. Some stop and listen. She talks about how Moony will be the man who will promise them better living arrangements, a better promise of life should he win. Ah, yes, she's witnessed this Moony's acts herself! A lie, of course, but Saber certainly knows how to act like she's on stage.

Some do try to argue her points, but she quips back easily. There's even a small crowd gathering. And not forgetting Utena, Saber turns to the pink-haired women after her spiel: ]

Ah, my partner right here would attest to my words. Right?

...that's a good point.

[She tries to put her hands in her pockets but her current period dress lacks them.]

A pretty notion that lets warriors assuage their consciousness on how they defeat their foes on the battlefield. [ She chuckles, swirling her drink. ]

There is beauty to be found within it, but it is one that a person must decide on their own whether they should see it in the face of death.

[ She straightens herself and puffs her chest out in pride as she answers: ]

You may refer to me as Saber for the moment. It is a pleasure, Kougyoku.

[ he shakes his head with a small chuckle. ]

Don't worry about it. Just... [ hands on hips, slight lean forward. ] Try to walk around and not be approachable.

[ He has to think about that, which buys her a short moment of silence before he starts moving around the camp again. Caesar sets his half-finished dinner aside to go check the bags. Sure enough, he finds the second set of blankets, still folded up from this morning.

Of course. He'd only taken out his own before. ]

Apparently not. [ He collects those and moves to dump them by the campfire, too, spreading them out so he has a place to sleep of his own. ] Well. Guess this wraps up another thrilling day in the middle of nowhere...

[ Not that he expects much more banter from Collette. It looks like she's half gone already. He won't be far behind in that, just as soon as he clears up a couple things around the campsite. ]

That's right--Ranka said that you guys weren't really on Earth.

[ his arms cross. ]

Guess it makes sense. Simulated weather won't be as strong as real weather.

It sure is different. I don't know if it's in a good way, though.

I keep hearing people get into fights.

( She barely stirs past when he starts to move around again, part of her mind expecting his movement. It's familiar after the last few days, and even if today she was not even close to helping out with the end maintenance, she knows the general idea of this routine.

She hears him say something. He doesn't sound concerned or worried, there's no shift in tone that strikes her as worrying. Whatever it was couldn't be so terribly important.

She mumbles; )

Goodnight, 'Sar.

( Probably a full minute after he last spoke. Then she's truly out, until panic, nightmares, or something else woke her.

What she wouldn't give to be sleeping on her own bed again...! )

I've heard that too! It's really dangerous for being a small town.

[ Feferi claps, instantly delighted. ]

It's the best way to ride! I can see everything that way!

[Asuka stifles a (slightly mean-spirited) laugh at Kanaya's expense.]

Yeah, I know. This clothing is weird.

[Hey, wait a minute.]

Hey, if you guys have those sylladex things, how come you use pockets?
