Characters: All transports
Summary: Fearing UE reprisal, the Initiative corrals all transports and shoos them onto a mission back to the Wild West, to vote Gerald "Moony" Jackson in as Mayor of Black Rock. Transports are encouraged to used all their wiles to encourage townsfolk to vote in favor of him, too. Other than that, they're free to roam as they will for 7 whole days! Good luck finding food and shelter, masses. (See the OOC post for more information.)

The Initiative had been terse and rushed as they gathered the transports into the Transporter room, and anyone unwilling to participate will have been forcibly hurried along. The Initiative employees had seemed distracted and worried, and unwilling to stand around and debate. It was time to move. The teleportation had gone off without a hitch, and a roomful of transports have been treated, quite suddenly, to a broad and sunny blue sky, and especially to the heat of mid July in the American West.

Enjoy your weeklong stay in Black Rock, New Mexico! The town is small and sleepy, with just 3 good saloons and one questionable (but considerably cheaper) one. There are a few inns, but these inns aren't quite prepared to room a sudden influx of over 300 travelers, and some people might have to bunk up or get creative with their sleeping arrangements. If you sleep in an inn at all, of course. There's plenty of unexplored wilderness out there to sleep in instead, isn't there? Just make sure to check your boots for scorpions in the morning.

The only instructions are "vote for Gerald "Moony" Jackson for Mayor, and try to convince others to do the same", and you've been given just enough money to cover a very sparse room and board for 7 days, if you don't spend it in anything else.

OTA throughout the Week

Urgh... such an overbearing heat! Not even I, who could endure the hottest of baths, stay well within these temperatures.

[ It's an open gripe to herself, but Saber's sure she's not the only one feeling this way. She tugs at her collar and is glad that her attire affords some ventilation in certain areas, but for the most part? Eck. And her new surroundings were such a contrast from the persistent downpour the island was going through. ]

Hmph. [ That said, this is all a big chance for her to see what these missions are like and what they require. What a stroke of luck she had, though, since she recently made a contract to a Master, and thus, is fully combat capable should any fighting arise. Saber wanders into a saloon and ignores any eyes that might fall on her... well, to them, "odd appearance." Compared to the dirt and the rustic settings, she radiates luxury and elegance and the splash of red isn't hard to miss.

Saber will then start up conversations with the locals - hell, maybe even indulge in some hearty drinking and all that, but the objective remains in her mind as she'll try to convince others for their choice of votes. She'll wander back and forth amongst the saloons and go into spirit form when she needs to rest, but for the most of the week spent here, she'll remain corporeal for this mission. ]

[So this is Ygritte, not pleased. Transported, again. Now voting is all good and well, and she much prefers this to those stuffy kings in castles, and while she doesn't do too bad with the locals, after all the Free Folk aren't so different, it's this weather.

The City was bad enough, but at least it's colder there. Ygritte is used to freezing temperatures. As fire like as her hair is, the girl is all North. Even if she's got the wrist thing on to blend in, she doesn't understand why people don't run around naked. How do those ladies stand those dresses.

Though the Wild West brings along an interesting thing, well two if you count those cowboys. But the more important one is the thing sitting along their hip. That's what Ygritte has her eye on. She wants a closer look. Some transports got them back in the City, but everyone's got them here.

That's what she's keen on when she isn't out and about, complaining about her skin boiling off. Perpetual sun for a fair girl like her isn't good.]

[ Thing is, they've got a wristwatch and all to hide themselves from the general populace, but it takes more than a bunch of illusions to hide a person's reaction. There's plenty of people around here who don't belong, but they aren't obvious about it unless it is to Sharpe's eyes. He's probably biased because he knows that there's people who don't belong.

But still, she sticks out like a sore thumb. Just a little bit. Sharpe leans onto the wall of the inn that she's standing near. His own pistol is on his hip, and he's got a rifle slung on his back. ]

Best not ta stare too much, lass. [ He pitches his voice low. ] They might think yer going ta steal it.

Peter Petrelli; open like an open thing

[Peter went camping once, years ago. He remembers enough about it to pitch a tent and make a fire. The rest he will figure out. He's glad to have something to put all of his energy into. It keeps him from having to think about the mess he's made of things with Claire.

All this voting stuff reminds him of Nathan's compaign. He wasn't much help for that, but that doesn't mean he's not still going to try]

[Lena's been all over the place, doing what she's supposed to do, though she's not sure she believes that this will actually help. Really she's just doing it for something to do.

When she sees the campfire, she approaches and stands there, watching the flames.]

[Jesse's home. One hundred and twenty-six years separate him from the New Mexico he remembers, but this desert never changes and he knows it more than he cares to. He's been to Black Rock before. The town itself looks nothing like it does in his time, but he recognizes the hills to the north where train tracks will someday be laid. Or maybe they're there already, in some antiquated form. He gets chills when he looks in that direction. He has crazy thoughts of abandoning the Transports and heading up that way, maybe with a few sticks of dynamite, to make his own change to the past. To destroy whatever track might be laid, to fix something that desperately needs fixing.

But when he's honest with himself, he doesn't think he'll be able to find the exact location. And destroying a train line this far back in the past will probably do nothing to affect 2010. They'll just rebuild it in a decade.

Jesse gets on well with the locals. He easily convinces them he's a local, too - since he is - and that makes him a preferred guest. He gets a room all to himself at the best inn in town and he's at the saloon downstairs every morning, sweet-talking the innkeeper's wife over eggs and beer. He pays for everything with exotic jewelry - the gold he stole off corpses in Russia.

After his meal, he heads out to the desert. Every day, it's the same thing, although he finds a new spot each time to climb and sit and stare northward. When he thinks he's alone, he curls up and cries until his head hurts. When the sun sets, he takes a hit of meth to re-energize himself, walks back to town while gazing at the stars, then finds a girl to fuck for the night.

He doesn't care about this stupid vote.]

[Aw man friends, or at least humans to hassle. It's not that big a town and Tyki is out enough partying the good party enough that after a few days, he spots Jesse enough times to take the initiative to saunter on over and insinuate himself into Jesse's bubble.

He looks pretty different when he's not in Black form and ready to kill. More tousled, less polished - he's here to schmooze and sleep around, not look for victims.]

[ An aristocratic lady dressed in a fashionable red riding habit appropriate for the era and holding a parasol rides on her (stolen) white horse as she is accompanied by her trusty... manservant. You can encounter them during one of the following: ]

A [ The lady is delivering a speech to the citizens of Black Rock. What's it about? Something about endorsing the town and providing them with money, food, water and horses if they vote for Jackson. Insert moving campaign speech here. If you recognize her, you might go, "Hey, isn't this the same weird girl who's painfully shy around strangers?" But you'll notice how she's looking not at the crowd, but a group of Transports who are standing at the back... ]

Vote not for what your city wants, but what your city--

[ Ah. There's a handsome guy in the distance as well. ] Um... what your city... what... [ She suddenly looks away from the crowd. The gaze of that ruggedly handsome stranger is too much for her to handle. ]

Kazu, we're leaving. We're leaving!

[ The crowd disperses as she does just that. Care to applaud her on her speech? Ask her about that latest blunder? Maybe the stranger was you... If she doesn't look willing to strike a conversation, maybe you should talk to Kazu about it. ]

B [ Kougyoku has fallen and can't get up. No, she literally can't get back up on her horse. She's just draped over it... It's very ladylike, excuse you. ]

I've seen that woman do this thousands of times. Push me up! [ Kazu where are you... ]

C [ Kougyoku, Kazu and their horse are hiding behind a building, some barrels - any place that can hide two teenagers and a large four-legged animal. They look suspicious, don't you think? ]

Shh, he's coming!

D, locked to Kazu [ But how did they get that horse in the first place? Well, it all started when Kougyoku had this genius idea as she was hanging around the stables and decided to tell someone about it... ]

He comes over by way of a ginger shuffle across patches of grass, so engrossed in keeping the sand from his wheels that he doesn't realise how far in she's gone until he's staring into somebody else's barn.]

[Meliantha doesn't really care about the heat. What she does care about is the situation, and this many people trooping into a town like this isn't going to go unnoticed at all. Which might be the point, but.

She takes a moment to get attention.]

This town won't handle all of us easily. I'm going to go scouting and try to find a place where we might be able to camp if we can't find beds. Anyone who wishes to come with me, and has the skills to find safe places to sleep, I would appreciate it. We're also going to need to find water, so that's also a priority. Please gather here and we'll work out a plan, then head out. Thank you.

[She shouldn't be too surprised to find Duncan in agreement with this. He has never much been the inn sort, and he's staying out of the political hooha. He looks almost...comfortable in a cowboy hat, and as for the heat, he couldn't be happier.]

This reminds me of the Anderfels in the summer. I'll help scout a campsite. Preferably over a rise so we're not visible to the town.

[Well this is Sam's first mission and so far he is just confused, the heat is bad but the heat in Mordor was bad and sleeping outside isn't anything new.

He's not sure he likes what they are there for though, surely these townfolk wont like strangers coming in and meddling with their votes.

For most of the first day he walks around, a little confused to why, when townspeople speak to him they speak over his head never once glancing down.

He tries to blend in and find those he knows most of whom he lost sight of during the journey. The midday sun finally forces him into an overcrowded saloon where he sits and watches.]

Option 1: Black

[He's casing this town backwards and forwards in both his forms, adjusting as he goes. His Black form has a predatory edge to it most of the time, which could be attributed to him being a fine young specimen of masculinity from an era where people had strict ideas about the roles young men should take and who should wear pants, or could be attributed to him actually being a murderous monster in his heart, depending on what you know.

He's less polished than he looks when spoken to but he does know how to schmooze. Already he's managed to turn the heads of a few ladies even if plenty regard him with enough mistrust, the edgy young man with no background who's new around these parts. He's here, there, and everywhere: enjoying dance halls, patting horses, cutting a sharp figure.

Humans are too easy to be fun prey so most who approach him get treated with pleasant, uncaring indifference. Maybe not if they're cute, female, or they look like fun. Find him anywhere.]

Option 2: White

[He passes through the same places at an entirely different level. Tousled, a little less grey in complexion, wearing thick glasses and kicking back in the seediest bars, this Tyki cuts a less predatory figure and comes across pretty easygoing (if he's feckless too).

He's out to have fun with both the populace and other transports he spots. He dutifully cast his vote (twice - the benefit of coming across very different between his forms) and talks up the anointed candidate with a feeling of amusement. This is so strange but, well! Mind control makes him a little tetchy, if he'd never admit it. He supposes he doesn't mind pitching in to the Initiative's efforts. Perhaps it's fitting that there exist a world full of humans where they aren't completely erased as a race, and where they can continue to embody everything he finds so appealing about them. Tyki loves humans.

He loves kids, and ladies, and playing cards, eating good food, eating shitty food, drinking, sleeping, napping, lounging, and having fun with people. The climate is quite pleasant for carrying out all of these things and he welcomes company for most any of it.]

What do you call that card game? [ The girl peers over his shoulder as he shuffles his cards. She's normally too timid to approach anyone, but curiosity gets the better of her. ] I've never seen anything like it in our empire.

[Wow, Initiative. In her opinion this is a paltry sum and a sad way to put up the people fighting in your army!

Whatever. Her ire blows over soon enough; she can live with a sparse week, and scheme to get a little pocket money. What can she do? She asks herself and then asks advice, and a short while later - well, a young lady can find a room and take in mending.

This place is too hot but it's a nice change from the mostly-dreary hold. Rin sits on the porch and works on her mending without much urgency, with a glass of cool tea (tepid in the July heat) balanced on the porch rail. The war feels very far away, the ambiance is sleepy. It's not so bad to have a quiet trip back in time and the only real job being to cast a vote.]

[Unfortunately for her there's a rather bored teenager looking for something to amuse himself with. When he sees her there minding her own business, clearly he has to interfere. But not directly at first, no. That would be too easy. Mukuro stays out of sight and in his place his white owl Mukurou flies down to land on the porch next to her.

It's easy to stay on the other side of the building to hide, he can see everything from the owls eyes as if they were his own so it's really the perfect way to bother someone without them realizing he's the one bothering them.

Though it's questionable what a snowy owl is doing in the desert in the middle of the day, it doesn't seem at all bothered by the heat. It just hops closer to her, looking at what she's mending with mild interest and just trying to get her attention.]

OTA - All Week

[ Ugh, the money was really barely enough - but it wouldn't be the first time Lucy had to budget carefully. Besides which, Erza may want them all in the same room. Better safe than sorry, right? So after picking out a set of clothing for herself and Natsu that would help them fit in a little better, and of course, after a brief powwow, she set out into the town to work her feminine wiles. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy right? RIGHT. When she's not wandering through the town to try and convince people, she might be sightseeing or cooling off in one of the saloons. ]

[Elza remained separate from the rest of the Transports. There had been no choice but to be forced into this world of the past, but that didn't mean that she was happy about it. Besides, with everyone being forced to be here meant that he was here as well. That was why the gunner remained shrouded from view within her white cloak, hood up and hiding her features as she stood quietly out on the street.]

[Mukuro likes to believe he's perfect for this mission and has been doing rather well for his first time out and about. He had considered simply taking control of some of the people here to sway their votes, but overall it was unnecessary. With a little charm and persuading, it was easy enough to get them to do what he wanted without having to resort to dirty measures. As for himself though, well, it wasn't at all a problem to cast several votes. One for each person he knew back home actually, just disguising himself as them with his illusions to cast each vote and assure that he alone got at least a good thirty in.

Once his job is done, he can be found lounging around town or in the saloons. He likes to spend some of the time in the sunlight, perhaps napping in the shade of a building or on a roof. It's the first time he honestly feels free and he's not quite sure what to do with himself. He's never had time to just laze about and do as he pleases without a plan to worry about, so once he's done with his business he's left feeling rather restless.]

[ It's a little embarrassing when her attempted 'seduction' to charm someone to vote her way didn't go the way she wanted. In fact, the last time she charmed someone, it worked a little too well, which is there is suddenly a blonde bolting around the corner and hopefully not tripping over where Mukuro is currently napping in her haste to dodge the last mook. ]

A | [ Who spends their money on food and board when there's TOTALLY AWESOME clothes to be had? Snow immediately hones in on the first cowboy hat he sees, trying it on (over the top of his stupid bandanna...) and turning to the nearest person. ]

B | [ One thing they didn't have in the wild wild west? Motorbikes. He could just get by on foot, but that isn't how to make a heroic impression, so Snow's decided to wrangle himself a horse and hunt down a bounty. He's even dressed for the occasion.

Surprisingly, he's not all that bad at it — two legs less and it'd practically be a Chocobo. Midway through the week, he can be found trotting down the middle of town; a hogtied (and unconscious) criminal slung across the back of his horse. He doesn't seem to care at all, offering an energetic wave to whoever he passes. ]

[This was his first mission through the time machine, but at least it was something he could do pretty well. He could be found in the saloon, making friends with the locals and talking politics. He was doing fairly well, but it did cost him a bit of coin to buy a few rounds or two for others, even if he didn't drink himself.]

[Fortunately, he did have a way to make up the deficit: gambling. All sorts of gambling, but mostly the more reliable things, like betting a guy that he could win in a fight. There was also poker, but he was less successful at that, though he did have a good poker face. So mostly it involved meeting a guy, betting on a brawl, and using the winnings to by him a drink and convince him to vote.]

[Of course, there's a lot of downtime between those bouts, as he sits alone at the bar on the lookout for potential targets.]

[ Jack hadn't been sure what the fuss was all about, but he'd followed after everyone out of curiosity. A decision he instantly regrets when they get teleported and he's greeted by a summer sky and heat that's like a punch to the face. So of course the first thing he does is desperately reach out to the wind, but there's nothing cool there to be found. Without that colder wind, there's no way he can fly off to someplace cooler either.

He's already pale, but he pales even more and after five minutes, he's really not looking too well at all. He takes refuge in the nearest bit of shade, gracelessly plopping down and clinging to his staff while griping about the hot weather to himself.

In fact, you can probably find him being very miserable and hiding in the shade for the whole week. At least he fares better during the nights, where he can be found floating around, making temperatures drop and freezing things in spite. Basically, he's being useless and unhelpful as far as the voting thing goes. ]

[Of course people won't like the weather, that much is to be expected, but this one seems to be taking it a bit personal. They hadn't even been there for an hour yet and already he looks worse for wear. But he doesn't approach him at first, no. He has far too much business to do to be worried about someone throwing a fit over the heat.

It's only about two days later when Mukuro has finished his work meddling with the votes and finds himself bored without a single thing to do that he takes note of the boy who still seems to be rather unpleased with the weather. It's daytime when he approaches the shade the other is hiding in, looking vaguely amused.]

[ This mission is an ideal one for Saber. For one, there's a minimal amount of violence so she doesn't have to spend her time being concerned for Shirou. Another is that it makes use of both of her lesser-ranked skills as a Servant. If she's not convincing others to vote for Sir Gerald Jackson with her impressive charisma, she's offering to teach people how to ride a steed.

Later in the week, once she's tired of getting strange looks for the armor, she replaces her boots with leather ones and can be seen in a more "casual" form of her battlegown. So she might be recognizable as a girl now. Imagine that. ]

[A mandatory mission?

This came about far too hastily for Aragorn's liking. It's as if the Initiative only randomly heard about Gerald "Moony" Jackson and this little town of Black Rock. It infuriated him to think that the rebels would be using all of their transports for this quest. Especially after Aragorn vowed to keep certain allies free from harm.

With no other choice other than to participate fully with them, the ranger tries to devise a well enough plan. If they could sway the votes of the people, then their quest won't be for naught. However, first he needs to find his companions to ensure they're safe. He isn't above the thought of forging the ballots, but that is beyond his capability.]

Something else is at work here.

[He mutters to himself. Wandering through the town cautiously still dressed more like a Gondorian than a cowboy, Aragorn receives a few stares from some of the town's locals. With Andúril still sheathed at his side and wearing a long tattered dark cloak, Aragorn must've looked as if he hailed from some sort of medieval fantasy. It isn't like the ranger to standout too much amongst a crowd, so Aragorn is a tad eager to remedy this.

He sticks to the shadows for now. Trying his best to conceal his presence here while keeping a keen eye out for any familiar faces.]

[Aragorn isn't the only one sticking to the shadows. Hair as red as Zelos's sure is attracting a fair amount of attention, and he rather not catch the attention of people from his world. So he's leaning against a shadowy wall, figuring out what to do, when he sees Aragorn and hears his mutter. Yeah, he recognizes that guy. So when he's in ear shot, he'll say cheerfully]

Seems odd they'd need all of us for this mission, huh?

[Elmer, in his infinite and strange charisma, has gathered a group of townspeople around him as he gives something of a speech to them about why they should vote for Moony Jackson. He's made a makeshift stage out of some crates he's found, and he's already decked out in local clothes.]

And then there was the time I saw him stop that rampaging herd of bulls by using nothing but his powerful voice, and his handkerchief to wave them back into their pens! It was awe-inspiring. A real leader! Even the animals know! That's why you should vote for Moony Jackson. You'll definitely smile if you do!

[He's just going to stand there and make up more stories, since now the townsfolk are asking questions about these claims. Care to help out? Ask questions? Join Elmer on his little stage and spin some yarns?]

[Suddenly, there's a woman in purple and frills on stage beside him, smiling benevolently and nodding as though every word is gospel.]

It's true. I was there that day. My fiance surprised me looking at property. Without Monsieur Jackson, we'd both be red smears in the dirt. Nothing. That brave man risked everything just for us.

Darling, do you have a kerchief? I feel myself getting misty.

A [ Blaine stands with a cowboy hat in his hand, using it to fan his face for a few seconds before putting it back on his head. His hair is pulled back into a short ponytail and he's wearing the clothes of the age, including the boots. ] Jesus, I almost forgot what southern heat felt like. At least it's not too humid.

B [ He's staring at the large animal, one horse that is staring back as it chews. Then he turns on his heel to walk away. ] Nope.

C [ Aww yeah, six shooter. This is more his style. Or it should be, but revolvers weren't known for their accuracy back in the day. He's sitting on a rock out in the desert with a skin of water on one hip and some bullets on the ground next to him. He spins the wheel then closes it. Some rocks and discarded bottles are on the ground a few paces away. ] Alright, let's see.

D [ Blaine's at the local bar/brothel, talking to a few of the guys, a woman sitting in his lap. He's smiling and drinking, but if you get closer you can hear that he's talking politics. About one Gerald "Moony" Jackson, who's strange as hell, but that other guy? He's suspicious as hell. What's he going on about? ]

[Elza spent most of her time outside of the town. She had no interest of this world's politics. Yes they had paid her for services, but her services weren't for sale - not when they had so cruelly brought him here.

So she spent her time mostly on the outskirts of town, which was why she had caught sight of another Transport heading out into the desert. Her pale gaze followed his leave moments before she began trailing after him. Finding the man seated out within the desert, the gunner stopped a good few feet away.]

Not only that, there's sun and no rain - a very welcome change from Exsilium days. So instead of uncomfortably cramming himself into an inn with everyone else, he's made himself a camp outside of town, under the shade of some large rocks. If you come over to see what's up, you'll see him futilely attempting to make a fire for his little camp using sticks. He never was a Boy Scout. Someone also might want to warn the city boy about the local wildlife, as well.

B: Otherwise during the week, he'll be found in town sitting in a saloon somewhere playing guitar. He's gathered a lot of attention from the locals by playing some very strange style of music. Some don't seem to like it, but others seem pretty fascinated. Johnny, in the meanwhile, thinks this is hilarious and loves the attention he's getting for this.]

Celebrian || OTA all week

[For all the dreariness of Exsilium, the sunless sky there, the suddenly bright welcome of sunlight in New Mexico was a genuine surprise to Celebrian. Not that it was unwelcome, of course. She enjoyed the feel of the sun. They were here for a mission though so she had to remind herself of that and went to familiarize herself with Black Rock.

Celebrian decided that she'd spend a day out and about among the residents of Black Rock and just socialize, get to know them and be friendly in general. How could one try to affect a vote among them all if you didn't know them, after all? Few seem to be keen on trusting the voice of a stranger.]

[The gunner remained off to the side and out of the way while most others were attempting to do their best at convincing the townspeople. Her pale green gaze shifted from person to person. She had no interest in attempting to sway them in one way or another, and that much showed as she remained hidden beneath her long white cloak. The hood was up, hiding her face, while others busied themselves around her.]

Kratos Aurion | Open

[Abrupt as this mission is, at least it turned out to be a simple one. Helping sway a vote? Not overly difficult. It doesn't take much effort to get various men to agree to vote. Having been an army captain, Kratos KNOWS how to be imposing and get people to see things his way. Perhaps not the best tactic, but effective.

Not everything about this mission is bad, either. The cowboy hat he's currently donning not only helps with the heat, but it's quite a nice accessory. The only downside? Having various women come over with 'Hello, cowboy, fancy a little fun?'. Neither is he a cowboy nor is he presently interested in the type of fun they may provide.

Which is why, several times during this mission (now included), Kratos can be politely seen declining one such offer from a very charming woman, her dress showing off her curves and the like nicely. He gives her a polite bow before walking off, leaving the woman grumbling in his wake.

Worth mentioning is that despite the severe heat and despite being dressed in full military garb (with cowboy hat), Kratos doesn't seem particularly bothered.]

[ So maybe Kougyoku has been following this man in her spare time. So maybe she thinks he's pretty cool. She nods to herself when he turns those women down - yes, this is how a man should be!

But she still hasn't talked to him.

It's not that she's afraid of being rejected - she's too pure and too young to suggest that sort of fun, anyway! - she is just really, really shy.

So maybe she thought that getting him a glass of water was a good idea, since he must be hot and thirsty in those clothes in this heat. So maybe she gathered enough courage to talk to him and bring it to him herself personally.

That still doesn't excuse how she accidentally spilled it over his shirt. ]

Well, this is a pain in the ass.

[He slumps against the side of a building and using it as a way to find some shade, but damnit it doesn't really help much - he lived most of his life in a really, really cold part of his world. He's a goddamned fish. Future dystopian Earth is always nice and cold WHICH IS WHY MISSIONS LIKE THIS SUCK, GODDAMN...

He isn't even going to bother trying to convince people to vote for this guy, HE CAN'T EVEN PRONOUNCE VOTE. HOW DO YOU WOTE FOR SOMEONE. So instead he's leaning against this building just doing fuckall tbh but he eventually slumps into a seated position on the ground.]

[To the inhabitants of this town, there's an exceptionally tall cowboy roaming the streets on a horse. He might draw some looks for his build, but ultimately to them he's just built, other than that regular old human for the time right?

To his fellow transports however, what you see walking through the town is this. Death's horse actually does leave little green flaming hoofprints with each step it takes, even snorting in the direction of people who get too close as if to say "get the fuck outta my face".]

It's certainly a change of scenery from the future, is it not?

A [Lena doesn't always follow the rules, so she's merely walking around, getting accustomed to the place. She shifted her own clothes into proper western wear for a woman and is walking around with a parasol shielding her from the sun. It's really her staff from the armory, she's just shifted it too. At one point she comes across a horse tied up outside, and takes an apple out of her skirt pocket. Had it really been there, or did she use her magic for that too? She offers it to the horse, speaking gently to him.]

B [All right, down to business. Lena can be found going from local to local, meeting their eyes and speaking to them. Immediately after she does, the local turns and walks away with purpose, though beyond that, they look perfectly normal.]

C [Having magic has plenty of advantages, especially when it comes to cramped sleeping arrangements. If you're sharing a room at the inn with her, you may notice a door in the room that hadn't been there before. A door she slips through without hesitation. If you choose to knock on the door, you'll be invited in to see that Lena's Cast a room of her own, attached to the inn's room. Isn't magic fun? If you're nice, she might make you a bed too.]
