Date & Time: Jan 12th to Jan 19th (real time), July 11th to July 18th (historical time), 1884
Location: Black Rock, New Mexico, USA
Characters: All transports
Summary: Fearing UE reprisal, the Initiative corrals all transports and shoos them onto a mission back to the Wild West, to vote Gerald "Moony" Jackson in as Mayor of Black Rock. Transports are encouraged to used all their wiles to encourage townsfolk to vote in favor of him, too. Other than that, they're free to roam as they will for 7 whole days! Good luck finding food and shelter, masses. (See the OOC post for more information.)

The Initiative had been terse and rushed as they gathered the transports into the Transporter room, and anyone unwilling to participate will have been forcibly hurried along. The Initiative employees had seemed distracted and worried, and unwilling to stand around and debate. It was time to move. The teleportation had gone off without a hitch, and a roomful of transports have been treated, quite suddenly, to a broad and sunny blue sky, and especially to the heat of mid July in the American West.

Enjoy your weeklong stay in Black Rock, New Mexico! The town is small and sleepy, with just 3 good saloons and one questionable (but considerably cheaper) one. There are a few inns, but these inns aren't quite prepared to room a sudden influx of over 300 travelers, and some people might have to bunk up or get creative with their sleeping arrangements. If you sleep in an inn at all, of course. There's plenty of unexplored wilderness out there to sleep in instead, isn't there? Just make sure to check your boots for scorpions in the morning.

The only instructions are "vote for Gerald "Moony" Jackson for Mayor, and try to convince others to do the same", and you've been given just enough money to cover a very sparse room and board for 7 days, if you don't spend it in anything else.

Glad you've got faith in me. [She doesn't really have too many people that think well of her here.]

_{( He knows faith is hard won and bitterly lost. Most of the people who'd ever believed in him had stopped, recently, and he was still winning back their good graces inch by inch. )}

Bien sûr. You're a special woman. I could do no less.

[She raises an eyebrow.]

Special, he says. Now I'm wonderin' what you're after. [There's a playful smile, but she has thought about it. He's always been nice.]

Do I have ta be after somethin'?

What d'you think? _{( His expression is rather ambiguous. )}

You think you can steal me? [She lifts her chin to look at him, a look in her eye.]

Oh, I can steal anythin'. That's not the question.

You better be sure o' what yer sayin'. [She leans in closer to him.]

I was once stolen, but I ended up stealin' him.

_{( He reaches down to touch her hair, once, an idle and distracted gesture. )}

That's the danger, is it?

_{( He sighs and his eye go distant for a moment. )}

No one's sayin' we have ta make any promises.

Don't think there's no promises t'be had here. Not when the Initiative takes what they like.

[His touch is a gentle gesture. Gentle isn't something she's entire used to. Jon was, but she won't let herself dwell on that. Jon's not here. And even if he were, she doesn't know how she's going to handle that anyway.]

We live, Remy. That's all I can offer.

_{( If his thoughts drift to left-behind lovers, he makes no mention of it. He had been left behind, more often than not, at least lately. And so he just nodded at Ygritte's words, and reached out again. This time his fingers trace her cheek, for a half second, before he leans in to kiss her again.

That's the only response one can really give at a moment like this, isn't it? )}

[She's fine with his response, settling in against him. He's still got height on her, but she can hold her own. One hand finds its way to his hip, steadying her on her tiptoes while she kisses him back.]

_{( He leans in, one of his hands in her hair and the other still cupping her cheek. It's a gentle, lazy kind of kiss--Remy is a guy who takes his time. When it finally breaks off, he offers her a grin just as lazy as the kiss was. )}

[She smiles brightly, like the cat that got the cream.]

I'm more'an willin' t'show. [Her hand travels up his side, still grinning. She hasn't done anything with anyone since she arrived (that whole survival thing was more important). It's a little shocking she hasn't attempted to get in his pants so far.]

_{( He's usually content to let things come to him. A sweet word, a meaningful look in the right direction... the physicality of it all quickly follows. Arrogant as it is to admit, he usually doesn't have to work at it.

Adding emotion into the equation--at least beyond surface emotion, a kind of general empathy he feels for beautiful women in general--is a different story.

But for now he's fine just letting instinct take over, enjoying her touch and offering her the sliest of grins. )}

[She's not trying to add anything into this. She likes him, sure. She doesn't just sleep around with everyone. Boys will be boys, and she's used to very forward advances.

But this? She could get used to this. Whatever this is, it's better than being alone.]

Y'knew I would. [She says leaning in, lips near his before she took another kiss.]

_{( He leans further in, hands finding the small of her back and pulling her towards him. )}

We better hope the townsfolk don't turn the corner--they'd be right scandalized.

[There's a sudden noise as she's pushed closer, smirking broadly up at him. Her hips meet his with a roll, and she's keeping her eyes on him.]

Not my laws. Besides I've still got m'clothes on. [Though if he wants to change that...]
