Date & Time: Jan 12th to Jan 19th (real time), July 11th to July 18th (historical time), 1884
Location: Black Rock, New Mexico, USA
Characters: All transports
Summary: Fearing UE reprisal, the Initiative corrals all transports and shoos them onto a mission back to the Wild West, to vote Gerald "Moony" Jackson in as Mayor of Black Rock. Transports are encouraged to used all their wiles to encourage townsfolk to vote in favor of him, too. Other than that, they're free to roam as they will for 7 whole days! Good luck finding food and shelter, masses. (See the OOC post for more information.)

The Initiative had been terse and rushed as they gathered the transports into the Transporter room, and anyone unwilling to participate will have been forcibly hurried along. The Initiative employees had seemed distracted and worried, and unwilling to stand around and debate. It was time to move. The teleportation had gone off without a hitch, and a roomful of transports have been treated, quite suddenly, to a broad and sunny blue sky, and especially to the heat of mid July in the American West.

Enjoy your weeklong stay in Black Rock, New Mexico! The town is small and sleepy, with just 3 good saloons and one questionable (but considerably cheaper) one. There are a few inns, but these inns aren't quite prepared to room a sudden influx of over 300 travelers, and some people might have to bunk up or get creative with their sleeping arrangements. If you sleep in an inn at all, of course. There's plenty of unexplored wilderness out there to sleep in instead, isn't there? Just make sure to check your boots for scorpions in the morning.

The only instructions are "vote for Gerald "Moony" Jackson for Mayor, and try to convince others to do the same", and you've been given just enough money to cover a very sparse room and board for 7 days, if you don't spend it in anything else.

[ This mission is an ideal one for Saber. For one, there's a minimal amount of violence so she doesn't have to spend her time being concerned for Shirou. Another is that it makes use of both of her lesser-ranked skills as a Servant. If she's not convincing others to vote for Sir Gerald Jackson with her impressive charisma, she's offering to teach people how to ride a steed.

Later in the week, once she's tired of getting strange looks for the armor, she replaces her boots with leather ones and can be seen in a more "casual" form of her battlegown. So she might be recognizable as a girl now. Imagine that. ]

[ Booms priad, himself out of armor and in civilian garb, which for him is coveralls, denim shirt, and a sarape. He's already tanned, and generally looks like a wandering laborer. Or how Heracles might look if not for the mad enhancement. He waves a huge hand to her. ]

Ah, have we met? [ It's awkward enough to have to ask that when she doesn't recognize him right away. ]

Aye, that we have. Though at the time we both wore war-plate, I don't forget faces. Or scents. [ He smiles a bit, not elaborating on space marine physiology at this time, but clearly it would take more than a change of clothes to fool him. Though the opposite isn't always true. ]

[ Scents. That was strange as he doesn't seem beast-like in any other regard, but she'll nod. ]

Beyond that, I rarely consider what most would term well being. I am fit for war.

We all are fit for war. Is that not why we were brought to this place initially? Stating so is pointless, but of your well-being, that is the state of which I care to hear of.

Ah. Well-being in my phratry generally specifically involves being fit for war, as in, unwounded and ready to fight. I am of a sound mind and body at the moment, so I guess you could say I am well.

[ he shrugs his shoulders and says. ] I apologize. I know the Iron Snakes have customs that many consider odd, and we tend towards a philosophy of stoicism when we are able.

I wonder about why we are all brought to this place, though. I have seen many here who don't.... seem like the sort you'd typically cast into the crucible of battle.

[Jeans and a dressed shirt rolled up at the sleeves seemed to fit for the child-king. Gilgamesh regarded Saber with hefted brows, wondering if a person could look anymore awkward in a new situation than the one he was beholding.]
