I am a Heroic Spirit, called forth to participate in another War before this one.

Yeah... A lot of it's the same, at least, in a hundred years. They didn't pave all of it.

We were a land well known for our military prowess, our campaigns that extended far into the world. Why, for a time, we ruled what was once the entirety of the known lands! My people exercised a healthy mind and body, greatly expanding our knowledge with philosophy and literature from authors who came before, and we also popularized the use of concrete and aqueducts. Before it had fallen, it was a beautiful, powerful empire with a variety of people that called her home.

Rome was my empire. I miss it fondly.

It's a pretty stupid question, with some obvious drawbacks. But you've gotta admit it would make for a great adventure.

He's actually considering this. Feeding horses sounds like a more attainable goal than riding one. Also, Kanji is imagining a horse eating out of his palm and the image in his head is just so cute.
