"I don't mind," Ico said. He did not put much thought into his clothes. Regardless, his Mark would likely cover most of the patches. The sleeves on the new shirt were too long so he rolled them up.

Ico frowned as Gamzee's cheer left. It must have been upsetting for him. However, it did not seem right to hope that his friend be brought into a war.

Without knowing the words to say, Ico simply reached over to pat him comfortingly on the shoulder.

It's not hard to tell that Chloe's thinking something over seriously, Roslyn just doesn't have a clue what it is. ]

( that's what it still boils down to, really, even if she has the wrong "they," and honestly that's what his life boils down to, even if he didn't always know it. knowing isn't as simple as just stopping, as kotetsu reminded him - was it really months ago now? you talk about living your own life, but you're here a couple of months and you're already falling back into line, doing just what maverick would've wanted!

He allowed a few moments to pass before he said anything and with a nod, he smiled faintly. "He grew up strong and that's important. Even if he never discovers that I'm his father, which is for the best, knowing that he's never going to be the Zaibatsu's tool is all I can hope for."

With his eyes still red from his moment of weakness, he was glad that he lanced the wound finally after all these years. He never spoke about it back home. It was a first step among many that he had to take in order to completely heal.
