It's nice to get away from the constant rain, but I wish it wasn't so hot out right now.

[She snorts but soon grins at him.] An' whose t'say the trouble hasn' gotten me a time or two?

[Assurance comes easily for her, it seems. She pokes her head from the other side of the barrels.]

Ed made a dismissive motion with that same left hand - he was sparing the other one, and had been fairly conspicuously at least since Sakura started talking to him. "That's not what I was asking. And anyway, you make getting out of the heat sound so easy in a dump like this."

His face still betrayed nothing in response to her bad-mouthing the Initiative's orders, which was probably telling in itself.

He digs into a pocket to produces a brass key on a ring and holds it out. ]

Sometimes it's so confusing when times don't match, but I've always liked to learn new things. You don't stop just because you grow up, right?

Not really. Electricity hathn't even been invented yet here.

[And the only thing he can count as enjoyment or being cheered up is with video games or computers. Which is kind of a no-go right now.]
