[The air around Gilgamesh shifted suddenly, golden ripples flowing through the air as a half dozen swords and spears manifested in the air behind him.

I suppose I can explain a bit, I guess. I'm a pure Heroic Spirit, but not one that needs a contract, though I'm not entirely sure why. It might be because I was never really 'summoned'. I just exist here.

Just the same, my potion of youth doesn't turn back time for me. It just returns my body to a certain age and constitution. So, I'm emotionally the same as I was when I was young simply because that's how I carried myself. I suppose you could say it's the same sort of feeling you have when you wear a certain outfit? That it changes you.
