Maybe because the movies are always from a Nan's eye view. You know, the top down? It turns out if you get on horse level you really don't stand a chance.

[Replies the kid, sharing an easy grin. He must be new to this whole future exile thing, because he seems genuinely unconcerned. In fact, he almost looks as if he's on vacation instead of a politically sensitive mission across time.]

[Hey, Axel doesn't exactly look like he's taking this whole political mission too seriously either. That's because he isn't. Politics are for suckers, and he's way more interested in just doing some recon around town.

[He laughs sharply.]

Yeah, I definitely didn't stand a chance the last time I was on horse level. Bastard threw me arse over kettle and it took me an hour to get all the sand out of my teeth, I tell you what. [Granted, he isn't about to tell Yosuke that it was because he'd essentially tried to set the horse on fire; that part isn't really relevant.] You ever had any luck riding one?

I've never actually tried before. There aren't many of these around in the city I grew up in, you know?

I dunno, I guess it's all in how you fall. Try not to land on your neck and you prolly won't break it: that's the best advice I can give.
