[A little push there, a shove here and it looks better already! He sits back and takes a gander at his fixed tent. He gives Billy a small smile.]

Thanks. I'm... I've never camped before...

I didn't camp all that often, but this was my favorite part of camping. I guess I just like putting things together.

[He smiles and watches a tumbleweed roll by.]

At least we don't have to worry about bears getting the food out here. Just snakes. It's a shame there's not much to cook over a campfire, though: that was my second favorite part of camping.

Anyway, does it feel stable now?

[He really hopes he doesn't run into any, he wouldn't know how to deal with one sneaking into his tent 8(]

You could buy food. In the stores. It tastes the same cooked.

[Shinji tests the tent by pushing at the poles. He nods assent.]

Mm. It's better.

[Billy scratched at the back of his neck, then eyed the tent with a satisfied smile.]

I know, but I've been getting ready to hunt because I don't have much money left to buy food---my spending priorities were way off-budget. And cooking outdoors is a big part of the camping experience.

I'm not making it sound appealing, am I?

It's fine. If you enjoy such things...

[Shinji'll stick to food from the inns. Hunting takes too much effort and it's too... messy. It makes him uncomfortable.]

Is there anything to hunt out here? [He's only seen snakes and the like, really. All which he's tried his best to stay away from.]

You know, I'm not really sure. I guess I made too many assumptions too quickly again---but in that case I'll work to earn enough to eat.

[Billy idly kicks at a pebble. Not that he'd consider deliberately making repair jobs, of course.]

...speaking of, it'd be ridiculous to charge you for the tent. So don't worry about it.

I'm not sure if there'll be enough jobs. Sorry. There's... a lot of us-- Transports.

It could be a lot of opportunity for things that need fixing, but...yeah, I'm starting to suspect I need to eat snake. I think I can identify which ones aren't venomous?

[Billy tries to look less nervous than he feels.] And if I round up enough, I'll share.

[Is offering a share of snake a sign of goodwill?? Shinji isn't sure if he's ready to accept.]

Surely there's-- [a brief pause as he ponders the right word] something less... dangerous? Birds? Plants?

Right. I completely forgot. [Billy smacks his forehead.]

Anyway, I won't take up any more of your time. Just think before you spend your money so you don't have to worry about any snakes.
