He bites the inside of his lip in an effort to oblige Kougyoku, but if Judal's set on addressing a problem with him, then that changes things.]

You missed the part where I'm supposed to be playing her servant? I'm just gonna make her look bad!

[Can't steal his mistress's lime light etc., although if he had, he might've flubbed so badly it'd circle right back around to make Kougyoku look like the best speaker in existence. Public speaking is not Kazu's thing.

Judal does get him thinking, though. Maybe he ought to have pretended she's sick or something.]

[He shrugs, clearly unimpressed with beanie boy's attitude.]

Or you could always pretend to be in trouble to make her look more responsible. She'd have to stop speaking, then.

[That's basically his role in life, though! Judal's just... making full use of it...

And however grating his attitude might be, he does make a valid point, a point that sees Kazu slouching further into his hoodie as his gaze slants to the side. Standing there with the horse's no real support. Compared to the way he reacted over Kougyoku, he doesn't seem half as inclined to defend himself.]

[He stares back at Kazu, smiling just slightly. There's an undercurrent of threat to those words, but who it's aimed at or whether or not he means it remains to be seen.]

In fact, if she manages it next time without screwing up, I'll even reward you two! How's that?

[Incentive equals results, in Judal's experience. And he does want results from her.]
