[If his facial expression looked calm and cool, it's visibly confused now.]

No. It's just me in Starling City.

[And Helena, but that's... that's another story.]

[That makes two for "visibily confused"]

Starling...? [what] You're from Star City, last I checked. [She's not going to mention the current state of Star City. One thing at a time.] And there really aren't any other heroes? Not even Superman?

[She can't comprehend a lack of Clark.]

[He doesn't know if to start aiming at her again or not.]

Who are you, really? There is no Star City, there is no Superman.

[Besides, that's kind of a lame name.]

I'm telling the truth. [There's nothing in her expression or tone to suggest otherwise]

Well, the truth from my perspective. [she pauses, chewing on her lip as she tries to work all this out] I'm gonna guess this is one of those alternative universe tihngs, which are so above my paygrade.

[That's for the Justice League to deal with, not Batgirls.]

[This girl's the closest lead to answers, and they're making absolutely no sense. But she really isn't lying, he can tell.]

You sound like this isn't new to you.

[She knows it's too much to expect him to trust her, but she keeps explainging in the hope that he'll at least consider her a potential ally]

I don't have personal experience, but I know they exist. My best friend has an alternate version of herself in our world, and another of my friends was killed by an evil, alternate version of his dad.

[a beat] I know it sounds crazy when I put it like that, but I'm not making it up.

I don't think I have much of a choice in what to believe and what not to believe.

[This is starting to sound like a sci-fi book.]

But I don't think you're lying. [It's too complicated and too specific what she's saying for it to be entirely made up.]

[She smiles, both relieved that he believes her, and sympathetic for having to deal with all the ridiculousness that is alternate universes and time travel in a short period of time. At least she grew up with it.]

I'd say it gets easier, but then I actually would be lying.

[She's not sure if this is a good idea, but she'd rather get it out of the way now.]

I, um, I know who you are. Your real name. Sorry.

[She knows what it's like to have that secret taken away without a choice, so she does actually feel a litte guilty.]

[He sighs. If she knows... well, there's not much of a point to keep the hood on now. He pulls it off to reveal a distinctly young-looking man of around 25 with a very well trimmed beard of sorts and green face paint slathered across his eyes.]

Guess that's over with now.

[His voice is back to normal now which is... really bizarre.]

Mind sharing the courtesy of who you are then?

As long as you're actually Oliver.

[He didn't deny that he was Green Arrow, but she's just going to double check, see ow he reacts to the name and go from there.]

[This alternate dimension thing is really going to be a pain in the ass, huh?]

[She watches him for a moment longer, then apparently having made her decision, she pushes her cowl back from her face, giving a smile]

My name's Stephanie.

Stephanie. Good to meet you.

[He puts the arrow away, leaving him with only his bow in hand.]

Is there a place I can rest a while? Get something looked at?

[If she'd been here a little while longer, maybe there was some kind of setup by The Initiative somewhere.]

I've got no fucking idea. [Well, that answers that question]

There are inns, you might be able to get a room if you're lucky. [She hasn't missed how shaky he is] What do you need looked at?

Right. Thanks.

[He sighs. Even that's a bit difficult to do right now.]

Just some wounds.

If we find somewhere quiet, I can take a look. [she taps one of the pouches on her thigh belt] I carry first aid supplies, and I'm trained.

[Which is true; between Bat training and her year with Leslie, she knows her way around an injured person.]

Trained by who?

[Because a get up like that? Not normal. Definitely not normal. He custom-ordered Helena's kevlar and suit and they're the only ones with them...

Besides the Dark Archer.]

Specifically in first aid? Batman, and Dr. Leslie Thompkins.

[She knows neither name will mean anything, but she figures the truth is still the best option.]

Batgirl, Batman... I'm starting to sense a trend here.

We're kind of a franchise, it's how things work.

[She decides not to mention that Ollie has a whole offshoot of Arrows back home, especially since some of them are his kids.]

Sounds like a real party.

[Yeah, better to leave that out. He puts his hood back on, since it seemed they were heading back into the town.]

Time to find a place outta the sun.

It's nice to be part of something. [she shrugs, like it's not all that much of a big deal, even if it really is.

Then she nods, pulling her cowl back up over her face, and turning to face town, though she's going to stick close to Ollie in case he stumbles or anything]

What are your injuries like?

[Ollie takes a deep breath.]

I got shot with some arrows, I fell from a rooftop and got beat up.

Oh, is that all? [What's a few arrows and a long fall and getting beat up? That's like a regular Saturday night, if the arrows are replaced with bullets.] I could sort that out with my eyes closed, come on.

[She starts moving, half keeping an eye on him and half looking around for somewhere suitable for her to patch him up.]

I guess I should consider myself lucky.

[That's kind of disconcerting that you know all that.]
