It's easy to tell which belongs to the girls and which to the boys: one of them has a rather ineffectual dirt barrier around it (probably 'cause it barely reaches to mid-calf), a raggedy flag listing off one end, and yes—tin phones lolling in a corner.

As soon as they're close enough, Kazu's going to plop down in the tree's blessed shade and scoot over to make room for Emily.]
