I'd say hiding your partner and past are pretty sneaky, and acting like a belle of the era is too. [That aside--] Are you planning on buying some threads to take home with you?

[Said in a very matter-of-fact tone.]

And I don't know. I haven't really found anything nice, and all of this would look really outdated. I don't even look good in it. [Knowledge at being pretty aside.] I was thinking of finding something to give to N though. As a late Christmas gift. He's going to take me out to lunch or dinner or something sometime to make up for not getting me anything, I think. We talked about it around the time.

That sounds great! [His two friends dating going out on a friendly outing! How nice.] Let's buy him a bicycle of the era. They're really funny looking, but he'd probably like it.

Does N even know how to ride a bike?

It'll be easy! We'll just say it's all about momentum and he'll get it quick.

[Hologram or not, dresses are a pain for her to sit and stand in. But they can make like an egg and beat it; she'll even take his hand and tug him along.

The catcalls are louder this time - they'd quieted down when Hilbert went over, but with the exit they're a little

harsher, towards him. Hilda just ignores them (they aren't worth a second). Please do the same.]

[He knows they're not worth his time, mostly because they won't exactly have a recollection of them after all this is over, but Hilbert does step closer to Hilda when the cat calls start.

Okay. I'm guessing that means we'll be sticking it out in the wilds with the rest of the group, huh? [Unless he's going to steal it like he did the horse.]

Well... I've kind of already been doing that, actually, since I bought these duds.

[Yeah, they're not holograms. These are real. He's keeping them.]

You really bought those? [Don't mind it if she tugs them a little, hmming.] You're never going to wear them again, you know. It's a waste, especially since you look pretty good in them.

[He grins, flushing a little, and models them a little.]

You think? I might use them for Halloween or something. I'll find a use for them. Wrangling zombies. Something like that.
